Best Things to Do on Koh Samui
Out of all the islands in the South of Thailand with the exception of Phuket, Koh Samui seems to be the busiest. Maybe that is because the airport is actually on the island and you don’t need a ferry to get there.
However Koh Samui is actually located in the Gulf of Thailand not the Andeman Sea. There is a lot to see and do on the island but most of it is very touristy. A trip to the island is not complete without a trip over to see the Grandmother and Grandfather Rocks. There are also a couple very good waterfalls on the island. However Chaweng Beach is where the action is on the island, but once you actually get on the beach it is beautiful. If crowds don’t bother you much it is a great place to visit. If you are into Muay Thai Boxing there is a pretty good boxing stadium there as well.
